3D Printing Production Manager 

3D Printing Production Manager

Job Summary

This is a supervisory position with a primary responsibility of managing additive manufacturing (3D printing) part production and other advanced manufacturing activities. This is a newly created position and it is essential that the candidate is a self-starter and capable of setting up initial systems and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages 3D printers for production of parts with continuous improvement in yield, quality, cost reduction, and production cycle time.
  • Oversees operation of 3D printing activities such as, but not limited to; work assignments, shift assignments to insure efficient and continued operation of the manufacturing floor.
  • Ensures that required repairs, modifications, change-over of parts are completed within the time frame required.
  • Coordinates and interfaces with all activities involving all internal and external 3D printing activities.
  • Reviews customer requirements and specifications
  • Understands tooling applications and manufacturing processes
  • Makes required purchases of tools, materials and necessary supplies for efficient operation of the department.
  • Organizes and maintains shop area and keeps equipment in good operating condition and repair.
  • Communicates both verbally and in writing, ideas and procedures effectively.
  • Cooperates with personnel in all departments by making cost estimates, completion dates, and updating progress of parts and molds.
  • Assists Engineering Department when required. Includes troubleshooting proprietary and commercial 3D printers., 3D printing function, all secondary equipment and operations.
  • Controls the shipment or transfer of parts entering and leaving the facility.
  • Maintains proper records of activities and make all necessary reports.
  • Ensures that all regulatory and safety guidelines are strictly adhered to.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred
  • 3-5 years work experience in a manufacturing setting or tool and die facility.
  • Exposure to additive manufacturing methods and Solidworks
  • Experience in tooling and fixture production is a bonus

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented, versatile Prototype Lab Technician to work with our engineers in a collaborative and creative environment.

Job Description

  • Work closely with a group of engineers on prototyping and custom assemblies
  • Fabrication of cable assemblies, (cutting, wire stripping, crimping, soldering)
  • Assembly framing components (aluminum extrusions)
  • Assembly prototype designs
  • Use of measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
  • Maintenance of FDM and SLA printers (desktop and large scale)
  • Organizes and maintains inventory (fasteners, tools, framing components)
  • Assembly of printed circuit boards (PCB) (soldering, reflow)
  • Ability to interpret engineering schematics to complete assemblies

Senior Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented, driven Engineer Leader who is interested in contributing their expertise to our rapidly expanding, collaborative, creative environment. We need someone to lead a team to deliver custom solutions to our customers thru new device development and processes while identifying technical challenges.

Job Description

  • Supervise a team of engineers
  • Develop and refine end-to-end production processes.
  • Develop and refine additive manufacturing devices and add-on for tooling, production and inspection.
  • Coordinate with outside teams to introduce and deliver efficiency improvement.
  • Select, coordinate and certify suppliers.
  • Contribute to proposal writing and reporting activities

Education and Expertise

  • BS/MS/PhD Engineering: Mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, additive manufacturing or materials.
  • Experience with metal casting, machining, tooling production, qualification, inspection.
  • Device construction and prototyping.
  • Product development and maturation.
  • Experience with process documentation and qualification.
  • Ideally, experience with sand printing (additive manufacturing), Plastic 3D printing (e.g FDM) or casting systems.
