Geofabrica Receives Best Small Business Award

(Auburn Hills, MI – July 20, 2021) – Geofabrica has been named SmartZone Best Small Business by Michigan Celebrates Small Business and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Geofabrica was nominated through OU Inc. SmartZone, and will join other Michigan-based companies in attendance for the 17th annual Michigan Celebrates Small Businesses gala on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.

 

“We’re honored to have been selected as an awardee in this year’s Michigan Celebrates Small Business,” said George Caravias, Geofabrica’s CEO. “As an  early stage company, our team has become adept at rapidly implementing technology improvements to create strategic advantage in manufacturing.”

 

Michigan Celebrates Small Businesses is a non-profit (501c3) organization that is composed of statewide funding organizations that provide small businesses with resources to help their company grow. Since 2005, MCSB has hosted the awards gala to celebrate and honor the impact small businesses have on our communities and state. MCSB makes small businesses their priority and will continue to support, connect, and celebrate small businesses in Michigan.


Michigan’s SmartZones include technology business accelerators that provide services and partner with tech transfer offices, facilitate the commercialization of technology emerging from research in Michigan universities and private companies. There are over twenty SmartZones across Michigan, each serve distinct geographical locations where technology-based firms, entrepreneurs and researchers are located in close proximity. The businesses selected have demonstrated growth through technology commercialization, success with innovation, and a strong relationship with SmartZone.
